Biography

Troels Skrydstrup is professor in organic chemistry at the Department of Chemistry (Institut for Kemi) and the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO) at the Faculty of Natural Science (Det Naturvidenskabelige Fakultet), Aarhus University. He is currently center leader of the Danish National Research Center (Danmarks Grundforskningsfond), Carbon Dioxide Activation Center (CADIAC). Alongside, he is the co-director of the newly established Novo Nordisk Foundation CO2 Research Center (CORC). He leads an active research group in synthetic organic chemistry with approx. 20 group members at the level of postdocs, PhD students, MSc Students and others. His research interests range from the capture and conversion of CO2 to useful chemicals, plastic recycling, and methodology development using transition metal catalysis.
