Biography
Ruggero La Rosa’s research focuses on the intricate relationships between evolution, metabolism, and antibiotic resistance, with particular emphasis on host-pathogen interactions. By combining classical microbiology methods with advanced omics techniques such as genomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics, and by employing advanced in vivo-like model systems to study infections, his work aims to provide a more accurate representation of the infection environment and its variables. This comprehensive approach seeks to translate these biological interactions into clinical applications, improving our understanding of bacterial adaptability and infection potential and informing more effective therapeutic strategies for combating bacterial infections.
