Biography
In the Section for Functional Genomics, our research is aimed at understanding the expression, regulation and propagation of genomes using suitable model organisms, for example archaea, plants, and yeast, as well as vertebrate cell lines. Some of our research topics include genome stability, cell cycle regulation and differentiation, DNA repair, homologous recombination, DNA building blocks (dNTP pools), gene expression, transcriptional silencing, chromatin structure and dynamics, innate immunity, programmed cell death, signal transduction, DNA replication, genome variability and evolution, and virus biology.
