Mikkel Oxfeldt is a PhD student at Aarhus University, Department of Public Health, investigating the impact of endogenous and exogenous female sex hormones on skeletal muscle physiology, particularly focusing on low energy availability and oral contraceptives. In his work he hopes to inspire further research in the field, bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and practical application to enhance understanding of female physiology and its role in exercise performance. The overall goal is to optimize training strategies and promote well-being for female athletes.
