Biography
With a background in public health and a PhD from Faculty of Health Science, University of Copenhagen, in psychosocial aspects of type 1 diabetes, Lene’s research focus on psychosocial aspects of diabetes, particularly methods to provide psychosocial support to reduce diabetes distress and improve quality of life in people with diabetes.
The aim of the research in Diabetes Management Research is to contribute to the best possible quality of life for people with diabetes and people in their social network. DMR develops and evaluates research-based interventions regarding health promoting psycho-social support and education related to everyday life with diabetes.
