Biography

Prof. Alexander K. Buell, PhD studied Biochemistry and general Chemistry in Tübingen (2002-2004) and general Chemistry as well as Physical and Theoretical Chemistry in Paris (2004-2007). He performed his PhD research in Biophysics in the Nanoscience Centre of the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Prof. Sir Mark E. Welland (2008-2011). He then obtained several competitive personal fellowships to perform postdoctoral work in the Chemistry department of the University of Cambridge (2011-2015). From October 2015 to March 2019, he was Assistant Professor for the Aggregation of Amyloid Proteins at the University of Düsseldorf. Since April 2019, Alexander is Full Professor of Protein Biophysics at the department of Biotechnology and Biomedicine at the Technical University of Denmark.
