Biografi
Karoline Kragelund Nielsen is a Senior Researcher and Team Leader in the Department of Prevention, Health Promotion and Community Care at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen.
She holds a PhD and a MSc in Public Health from the University of Copenhagen. Her research is motivated by a desire to alleviate health disparities focusing on the links between maternal & child health and diabetes.
Current research projects focus on health promotion and prevention among women with prior gestational diabetes or pre-eclampsia; social determinants and psychological aspects related to cardiometabolic conditions in pregnancy; and the implementation and use of health services related to pregnancy and diabetes and other non-communicable diseases in low-, middle-, and high-income countries. She has carried out research in Denmark, India, Tanzania, Mexico and Albania.
