Biografi

My main research areas are within out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) and resuscitation. I have done several studies on use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and deployment of AEDs in the society for public access defibrillation. Furthermore, we have looked at risk factors, barriers for AED use, and interventions associated with OHCA and survival.

Current research
My current research is within prehospital acute care including out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) and resuscitation. I am currently lead on several studies looking at use and placement and accessibility of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in the community, as well as activating lay-persons to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and AED use before arrival of the ambulance. I am also lead of two randomized, clinical trials of AED use in public and residential locations in the Capital Region of Copenhagen.
