Biography
Shiraz Shah studied microbiology and bioinformatics at the Danish Technical University and obtained his Master’s degree in 2006. Since 2007 upon starting his Ph. D. at the Danish Archaea Centre, University of Copenhagen, he has been working with CRISPR bioinformatics and has published extensively on the topic. After finishing a post doc he headed the university’s biocomputing core facility for three years. Shiraz joined COPSAC in mid 2017 where he will be focusing on the gut microbiome and the host-virus interactions within it.
