Biografi

Christoffer Norn is a protein designer and co-founder of Skape Bio whose research focuses on using artificial intelligence and computational protein design to create new biologics from scratch. His work combines structural biology, machine learning, and high-throughput experiments to design proteins with precisely defined functions.

A central theme in his research is developing miniproteins that can control G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), one of medicine’s most important classes of drug targets. His team has designed agonists and antagonists for receptors involved in pain, itch, cancer, obesity, diabetes, and migraine, and developed methods to test thousands of designs directly in living human cells.

By linking AI-based design with experimental validation, Norn’s work aims to make difficult drug targets programmable and expand the range of diseases that can be addressed with precision protein medicines.
