Biography
The Biomass Conversion and Bioprocess Technology (BCBT) group is a leading research group at the Technical University of Denmark, dedicated to developing efficient and sustainable process technologies for the production of chemicals, food ingredients, biofuels and high-value compounds for different market sectors including pharmaceutical and materials.
Our group is committed to delivering innovative, environmentally friendly solutions able to accelerate the transition towards an economy less dependent on fossil resources.
Researchers at BCBT group work in a number of national and international projects across a variety of areas including, among others, biomass fractionation, hydrolysate detoxification, CO2 utilization/conversion, development of robust strains, bioprocess optimization and intensification, downstream processing and sustainability assessment.
