Biography

I'm a PhD student at Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research in the Rasmussen group and at the Copenhagen Research Centre for Mental Health in the Biological and Precision Psychiatry group. My PhD project is on applying machine learning methods for better understanding and stratification of mental disorders, specifically focused on schizophrenia and depression.
I have a MSc. Eng. in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from the Technical University of Denmark and I did my master thesis in Catherine J. Wu's lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. I have throughout my studies gained a wide range of different expertise with analysis of various types of big data including WGS/WES, registry data, genotype data, metagenomics and scRNA-seq. All within different research fields such as antibiotic resistance, bacterial subtyping, cancer immunology, diabetes and lately mental disorders.
