Biography
Giuseppe Di Palma is a senior researcher at DTU, specialising in advanced electron microscopy and materials characterization at the nanoscale. With a background in materials science and a PhD from the University of Birmingham, he investigates how the structure of materials—from atoms to microstructures—affects their properties and performance. His expertise spans semiconductors, energy materials, and nanostructures, with applications ranging from microelectronics to green technologies. Di Palma plays a central role in developing and applying state-of-the-art imaging techniques, including transmission electron microscopy (TEM), to better understand and improve advanced materials. He collaborates closely with both academic and industrial partners to push the boundaries of what we can see and engineer at the atomic level.
